HISTORY
In 1971, the hotel began as a camp that provided hosting services exclusively for the workers of the TEXACO, it acquires the camp in the same year and Don Telmo Noboa what's called Hotel the Toucan, the establishment continued to provide the services to the TEXACO for a few more years, until they built their own camp in The Coca, and from this time he decides to transform the camp into a hotel and begin to come to foreign tourists, national and traders. Among foreign tourists is the German Edwin Patzel, explorer, adventurer, who stayed at the hotel and invites Don Telmo visit to the tribe of the Waorani, who were commonly known as AUCAS which means wild in quechua and the quichuas called so because they are kept isolated and were very friendly with people outside of their tribe.

It was thanks to these meetings with the Waorani, that Don Telmo Noboa decided to change the name to the hotel, and since then it is known as Hotel El Auca, being the first hotel in this city with more than fifty years of existence. With the passing of the years and a lot of effort and sacrifice, was transformed which in the beginning were three pavilions of wood with 6 rooms and a bathroom for each one of them in what is now, a hotel with 80 rooms and a capacity of 120 people, it has all the amenities that one would expect to find in a hotel of a great city is that of The Coca, the capital of the province of Orellana and it also has a restaurant, spa, several conference rooms and additional services such as: private parking, a fitness centre, internet services.
That we are part of the management of this hotel now the second generation of the family Noboa Herrera, we strive day-to-day, together with about 20 contributors, our human capital, for not only providing a service to hotel of high-quality, if you do not do that this company is sustainable, trying to take care of the environmental impact of our operations, because we believe that tourism is a real alternative development, which commits us to defend our amazonia throughout your environment. Finally we comply with established goals to make this small family company, a company of success.
